New Position: Electronic Resources Librarian

Dickinson College Library seeks an innovative and service-driven librarian to join us in shaping services and collections for 21st century learners, educators, and scholars.  The Electronic Resources & Web Services Librarian provides leadership and technical support for e-resource acquisition and management, and for library website development and maintenance.  The ideal candidate has significant, direct experience with implementation, management and integration of a variety of online library resources and services as well as web development experience.  Strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and on teams are essential. 

Specific areas of responsibility include: administering the library’s ERMS (CORAL); managing content delivery and linking systems (e.g., Serials Solutions); developing online tutorials delivered via the web and through the college learning management system (Moodle); designing and conducting assessments of e-resources and online systems; collaborating to support and integrate e-resources into library systems (SIRSI, Ebsco Discovery Service); designing and creating delivery mechanisms for web services (e.g., web forms linked to ILL systems). The librarian also provides information literacy instruction and support for assigned First Year Seminars, provides reference services including some evening and weekend shifts, and may be assigned as liaison to one or more academic departments.
